The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Tour for the Cure is continuing its journey across Atlantic Canada.
This spring and summer, our big, pink bus will visit 156 cities, towns and communities through the region. We're inviting people to visit the bus and meet our staff. They'll help you learn how to take care of your breasts, talk with you about any concerns you might have and encourage you to book an appointment for a mammogram right away.
Breast screening saves lives. The sooner breast cancer is detected, the sooner it can be treated – meaning more women will survive the disease. Yet women in Atlantic Canada who would benefit from screening aren't going on a regular basis.
2009 was our first year on the road and more than 10,000 people visited the bus. Thousands of others saw us on the highways and in towns, yet others visited us online or saw us in the media.
We hope to make this year an even bigger success and hope to see you on the bus!
Please note there is no breast screening service on the bus.
