The Big Ex Day 2
Saturday July 31, 2010There were lots of big smiles during our second day at the Big Ex in Bridgewater! “I didn’t expect to find this at the exhibition,” exclaimed one lady as she made her way out of the bus. She was very grateful to have the opportunity to watch our informative video, which prepared her for what to expect of her first mammogram. Another visitor was ecstatic to find the big, pink bus parked amid the colourful tents, games, and rides, after missing our stop in her hometown. The Tour for the Cure has added a few new stops in August including a return to Truro, New Glasgow, and Salisbury. Check out the stops listings on our website for more information!
Victoria, Caitlin, Heather, Patti and Myrna (a 13 year survivor!) with Niamh and Jason make the Tour a family affair
Caitlin explains that breast tissue extends from the collarbone, to the ribcage, and up under the arm
Victoria points out the lumps that are hidden within the breast models. These visitors were very appreciative of the hands-on experience we had to offer
