Port Hawkesbury and Judique
Monday August 2, 2010Ciad Mile Failte and Happy Natal Day! We kicked off the last leg of the Tour for the Cure at the gateway to Cape Breton. The Sobeys Port Hawkesbury team celebrated our arrival and helped draw attention to the bus with live music, delicious food and 101.5 The Hawk’s Summer Cruiser. Visiting the bus was definitely a family affair on this August long weekend as we saw several mothers and fathers bring their children on board. Soon after, at the Celtic Interpretive Centre in Judique, inquisitive residents stopped to learn that early detection of breast cancer can save your life. If you live in Cape Breton, call the Nova Scotia Breast Screening Program (1-800-565-0548) to find out when the mobile screening units will be in your area.
