Sydney River and North Sydney

“You can learn to save your life!” our Tour Champs declared to people who passed by the bus at the CIBC in Sydney River. Erma, Joy, and Betty encouraged throngs of men and women to step aboard our big pink bus in hopes of spreading the word that early detection is the best defense against breast cancer. This message rang true at Sobeys in North Sydney where a store employee, Shirley, proudly told others about her own survival story. Her breast cancer was detected through a regular screening mammogram, and as such she shares our wish to see more women booking their mammograms through the NS Breast Screening Program. Many women in the 40-69 age range were excited to learn that they can book their appointment through a convenient toll free phone number (1-800-565-0548). More than one visitor let us know that they planned to call as soon as they got home!
